Performance Tester

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Tester to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing growth and success. The candidate shall conduct performance tests to ensure the software created by developers meets the service level expectations in production and delivers a positive user experience to our sponsors. Qualified candidates will be involved in but not limited to the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment.

REQUIREMENTS
• Collaborating closely with the Test Lead and Development Team to design and implement test and validation strategy
• Setting up the performance test environment
• Developing test suites to conduct load, stress, and performance testing according to industry accepted best practices
• Designing, developing, executing, and analyzing the performance test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements
• Hands-on experience in monitoring, analyzing results and reporting performance bottlenecks
• Reviewing test scripts authored by colleagues providing review feedback and updating the script as necessary
• Identifying, clearly reporting, tracking, retesting, and resolving software defects using Jira testing application tools
• Providing technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability
• Applying business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide project management and co-ordination expertise to the Xogene Technology teams on one or more
projects.
• 4+ years of proven experience in performance and load testing on enterprise web applications.
• Candidate should have good knowledge on manual as well as automation Testing concepts
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Performance tools sets like Load Runner, Jmeter, SOAP UI to mimic
business workflows
• Exposure to application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Proven ability in HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP/IP performance considerations
• Experience of testing N tiered (web, app, database), microservices based architecture.
• Experience in Agile methodology with focus in QA principles
• Experience with bug management tools like HPQC, ALM, etc. (Jira add-ins like TM4J preferred)
• Working knowledge of programming in C, C++, Java or Python. Python and JS (React) experience preferred
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 4 years of commensurate experience
